Job Description:

What you''ll do...Manage the timely, accurate, efficient filing of Federal, State and Local payroll tax returns and payments for multiple FEIN''s in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Processes W2''s for 90k+ associates. Audits payroll tax ensuring compliance and accuracy. Creates employee communication materials including payroll documentation, driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Monitors status of work in process, reviews completed work and resolves problem situations. Motivates and challenges team to support company culture and continuous improvement while supporting special projects. Manage all wage garnishment-related processes and procedures.Oversight of the Payroll Tax and Garnishment team, providing day-to-day guidance and direction, while also ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all payroll tax returns and payments.Processes W2''s/W2C''s and oversees the year-end process for submitting annual returns and W2''s to the SSA, as well as state and local agencies as required.Liaison between Acquisitions team and 3rd party vendor to ensure all unemployment account transfer paperwork is filed with state unemployment agencies for company acquisitions.Provides specific payroll data required by other departments to ensure accurate reporting on proxy statements and corporate income tax returns.Position serves on project teams related to system improvements and changes; develops, tests, and implements business continuity plans for payroll;Communicates complex concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-Payroll professionals, both verbally and in writing.Collaborates with front line support team to ensure accurate, up to date information is on hand to respond to associate concerns on payroll tax related issues. Drives a continuous improvement culture throughout the team, recommending changes to policy and making changes to practices that drive the efficient and effective operation of the function.Conducts employment interviews, makes hiring decisions, and participates in performance reviews, corrective action and termination discussions and decisions.Develops status reports and updates management with progress as necessary.
