Job Summary: Interacts with various stakeholders, including subject matter experts, executives, operational users, etc. and technical staff to analyze, elicit, and document requirements associated with defined system scope and objectives for technical solutions. Key Activities:* Responsible for writing, recording and editing Technical Application related content, including knowledge based documents, requirement documents, training documents, process flows, data mapping and other documents for consumption by the Project team. * Author documentation and develop original content, evaluate technical application project and their client impact to determine documentation needs, facilitate reviews with subject matter experts, consult with Business Analysts or internal customers, and manage the complete documentation workflow. * Edit various forms of documents and review for quality as needed; follow security guidelines, branding requirements, standard processes and best practices; participate in complex highly-visible documentation initiatives. * Selects and/or recommends appropriate artifacts and processes to be used to best suit the project's needs. * Reviews artifacts and final requirements and obtains final endorsement from stakeholders. * Compiles metrics and reports on progress of required documentation to project team. * Works independently; coordinates project based activities by assigning and reviewing work, and balancing workloads. Leads and influences junior staff, peers outside of unit, and stakeholders. * Strong ability to understand concepts or problems from the business perspective to effectively guide the analysis and development of documentation. * Applies excellent understanding of SDLC, including how it relates to the various software development methodologies and processes (e.g., agile, RUP, waterfall, scrum) to deliver functionality. Understands complex technical concepts. Qualifications:* Associate's degree specializing in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. * Three to Five years of technical writing and business requirements/analysis experience with creating documentation and collaborating with technical staff. * Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Confluence, Internet, and e-mail programs. * Strong analytical ability. * Ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment. * Broadened nature of interaction to consult and make sound recommendations. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships and offer strong customer service. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in interviewing stakeholders and good meeting facilitation skills. * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, adhere to schedules and meet key deadlines. * Demonstrated skill and aptitude for accurate proofreading, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
