Responsibilities:
Global Security Engineering is seeking an Experienced Mechanical
Engineer in support of highly technical and advanced engineering
and manufacturing projects. The engineer will be expected to
perform design, development, evaluation, and quality control
functions on complex engineering projects, regularly offering
innovative solutions to technical problems.
- Apply mathematical, physical science, and advanced engineering
technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives.
- Exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of
assignments.
- Perform project planning and manage project resources, includes
multiple individuals and disciplines, to achieve quality, delivery,
and cost objectives.
- Originates, refines, and releases complex manufacturing or
inspection work directions.
- Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances
that improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve producibility, and
enhance operational surety.
- Provides technical consultation to management and others, and
leads technical project teams.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in
accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the
protection of employees, the public, and the environment.
- Takes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition
or action is identified.
- Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work
when unsafe conditions or actions are identified
You Must Have:
- US Citizenship required in order to obtain and maintain US
Department of Energy Q-level security clearance.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from
an ABET accredited engineering program, or Bachelor of Science in
Physics from an accredited program.
- Four or more years of relevant experience in engineering or
related technical activities
- Ability to travel up to 20%
We Value:
- Advanced degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited
engineering program.
- Currently active Q or Top Secret security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging metal and polymer
additive manufacturing in a production environment, project
leadership, project management, technical guidance, and innovative
solutions.
- Skilled in computer-aided design software, particularly
SolidWorks or Creo.
- Significant experience in a design or manufacturing
environment.
- Experience working directly with and providing process guidance
to production personnel on a manufacturing floor.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation
skills
