Job Description:
The City of Kansas City, Missouri is looking for dynamic
transportation professionals - engineers, planners and technicians
- to help lead, manage and implement projects and programs for the
City and its multimodal transportation network. The City boasts one
of the largest roadway networks of any city in the country, and in
the past five years has implemented innovative projects and
facilities that have significantly augmented transportation and
mobility options, including the modern streetcar, a growing network
of protected bicycle facilities, a dockless scooter and bicycle
program, and numerous capital projects. We are looking for
engineers and planners who will help further develop and implement
exciting City initiatives including Vision Zero, Complete Streets,
transit traffic signal prioritization, and further expansion of
bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. Within the last year alone
the City has been awarded over $42 million in regional and federal
grants supportive of these transportation priorities, further
driving the objective to grow our team. The City's Transportation
team is multidisciplinary with opportunities available in its
Multimodal, Engineering and Construction divisions. We are seeking
entry/graduate-level, registered and advanced professionals, as
well as technicians for transportation planning, traffic
engineering and capital project implementation. Ideal candidates
are strong technically, collaborative, and creative
problem-solvers. PE, PTOE, AICP and EIT credentials are welcomed
