About the role
As a new member of CBRE's growing manufacturing engineering team,
you will support our blue-chip technology giant through the
facilitation and ownership of manufacturing readiness and ramp-up
for multiple suppliers ("integrators") to the client. To be
successful, you will have extensive demonstrated success in
optimizing manufacturing processes, launching new products through
operations, implementing lean fundamentals in low-volume
environments, and driving manufacturability improvements back into
design. You will have the ability to quickly build influential
relationships with key leaders and will have the ability to
demonstrate the latter to ultimately achieve business results.
What you'll do
Establish oneself as a shared resource to the client and integrator
to drive manufacturing readiness for pilot and/or FOAK (First of a
Kind) production runs
Serve as a point person for client manufacturing engineering team
for PLM management and maintenance
Enhance and drive PLM change management process improvements,
syncing together integrators with the client's engineering, supply
chain, and data center site teams as needed
Develop and manage various product and site BOM's and relevant
product information, ensuring coordination between all stakeholders
within client's equipment supply chain group
Determine and own pilot milestone "Go/No-Go" criteria and process
KPI's to evaluate pilot/FOAK success and full production
readiness
Lead creation and execution of PVT (Production Validation Testing)
for pilot/FOAK, in partnership with the integrator
Hold integrator accountable to satisfying readiness deliverables
per project schedule and at expected quality
Assess integrator's production capacity and required resources to
meet client demand
Employ lean fundamentals in long lead time, low volume environments
to optimize flow and first-time quality
Drive process improvements (lead time, quality, cost, safety) in
tandem with the integrator beyond pilot/FOAK deliveries
Identify process and supply chain bottlenecks and/or single points
of failure
Review design documentation to assess manufacturability
Engage with PLM team in creation of NPI BOMs
Quickly identify process and lead time improvements that can be
realized through design changes and improvements
Be flexible in serving needs of the client as primary contact for
the project team at the integrator's site
Partner effectively, and with humility, as a team member, which
contributes within the complete product development life cycle
Serve as key team member in the manufacturing assessment and
qualification of additional suppliers/integrators
