The Role:
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution
that will empower Centene to better serve our members. As a Project
Lead Network Engineer you will be responding to escalations from
our Incident Response Operations Center (IROC) as well as
collaborating with various application and server owners with the
needs to increase capacity or stand up new connectivity for
implementations. Work is performed through change controls,
requests, and incident break/fix matters tracked under a central
ticketing platform. You'll be gathering requirements from various
stakeholders in an effort to provide hands on technical solutions
with network configurations across various forms of mainly Cisco
network technologies.
Position Purpose:
Lead through design and implement enterprise wide network projects
by coordinating activities of all resources including 2s, vendors,
and business units.
Lead team members through design and implement enterprise wide
network projects by coordinating activities of all resources
including team members, vendors, and business units.
Oversee network equipment deployment in accordance with network
implementation plan maintains network management architecture for
specific network components including event monitoring and
alerting.
Follows specific procedures for documenting incidents/support calls
and updating knowledge base.
Develops and documents plans to troubleshoot, diagnose, and test
network related issues.
Completes and publishes professional documentation as related to
network architecture and design.
Additionally you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or
equivalent experience. 7+ years in a Network Engineering capacity.
Experience working with Cisco Nexus series (5k, 7k, and 9k).
Troubleshooting major circuit connectivity with carriers.
Determining if firewall or proxy is impacting performance or
connectivity, identifying ports or services that need to be opened.
Experience working within a DevOps workflow. Experience with
scripting to run automation tasks utilizing toolsets from Ansible,
Terraform, and Netbrain a plus. E xperience as a scrum master would
be a plus.
Application Load balancing experience - Citrix Netscaler preferred
- NAC Experience - Cisco ISE preferred - Wireless Networking
experience - Cisco WAP preferred - Access Switch Experience - Cisco
9300 preferred - Proven large enterprise level network
troubleshooting experience (multiple datacenters / hundreds of
remote offices) - IPAM/DNS/DHCP experience - Infoblox preferred -
Certificate Management Experience.
Experience leading team members through design and implementation
of enterprise wide network projects. Experience developing and
maintaining a network management architecture. Advanced experience
publishing professional documentation as related to enterprise wide
network projects. Ability to provide technical direction and
guidance to team members. Experience with design of advanced
interior and exterior routing technologies and integration (ex.
OSPF, BGP). Experience with design of advanced switching
technologies (ex. VPLS). Advanced experience with QoS design and
traffic prioritization. Advanced experience with installation and
support of Storage networks, WAN acceleration, load-balancing and
firewall technologies. Experience with vendor and product analysis.
Experience integrating multi-vendor solutions.
License/Certification:
Cisco CCIE, Microsoft MCSE or equivalent preferred
