to hear from you today!Job Summary:The Hardware Engineer is
responsible for designing industrial control panel drawing packages
including motor control circuits, 120Vac and 24Vdc power
distribution schematics, Control Panel layouts, I/O ladder
diagrams, and installation drawings. This position works
collaboratively with other members of the engineering staff and
electrical detailers to ensure that each project meets all
necessary requirements.Essential Functions:Controls engineering of
dry and liquid ingredient handling systems based on proposed scope
of work, customer requirements and specifications, industry and
government regulations, and Shick Esteve design standards. This
includes:Preparing I/O list from a Piping & Instrumentation
DiagramDeveloping appropriate motor control circuitsCalculating
total power requirementsEnsuring all customer expectations are met
through the completeness of the designInterfacing with electrical
detailers to ensure drawings are createdCoordinating with software
developers for the completion of the projectProviding support for
shop construction of control panelsProviding support for hardware
needs/issues while project is being installedAssisting sales in
developing solutions for customersHeat load analysis and power load
calculationsOther related duties/functions as
assignedRequirements:A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
OR 5+ years of control system design experienceKnowledge of PLC and
HMI hardware equipmentHigh level experience with MS Office
productsExperience with electrical circuit design and buildAbility
to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining schedule, cost
and qualityAbility to travel up to 20%Prior experience with wide
range of control panel products preferred (Allen Bradley, Square D,
Entrelec, etc)Ability to perform hands-on trouble shooting of
controls, electrical and instruments at fabrication shop or
customer site locationsStrong critical thinking, objective
reasoning and problem solving skillsExperience with AutoCAD
Electrical preferredWillingness to challenge the status quo and to
propose new and better control panel equipmentKnowledge of UL
