Description:Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a mid-level
structural engineer to join our Structural Engineering Group in our
Kansas City, Missouri office. This engineer will have the
opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with many
different structural materials. This position will provide
opportunities to gain experience in both new building structural
design and existing building investigations and retrofits.
Additionally, this role is in a new and growing office, so the
position will include a broad mix of opportunities for client
interaction and career growth. A typical work week can include
drawing development, project coordination, engineering
calculations, Construction Administration tasks, and site visits.
This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and
contractors as you build relationships throughout the project life
cycle. Martin/Martin's national footprint provides opportunities to

ResponsibilitiesEngage with clients and contractors as primary
point of contact throughout the project life cycle.Manage and
collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce
high-quality project documentation using computer design and
graphics software programs.Act as a mentor and resource for less
experienced staff regarding career development, design techniques,
software, and code questions.Develop, monitor, and manage project
work plans, schedules, and design budgets.Build lasting
relationships with clients through project work and business

Exceptional ProjectsRequirements:Required Qualifications:BS plus a
minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE
counts as 1 year)Registered Professional Engineer in the state of
Missouri or ability to obtain one within 3 monthsCompleted a
minimum of 12 months as a Professional Engineer and 6 years of
progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year.
Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 yearDesired
Qualifications:Master's degree in Civil or Architectural
Engineering with an emphasis on Structures.Strong working knowledge
of building and material codes.Excellent communication,
organization, time management, and technical skills.Committed to
client service and a team-based approach.Demonstrated commitment to
professional growth and development.Successfully managed multiple
projects and followed them from start of design to completion of
constructionEffective at communicating and working with clients,
jurisdictions, and colleaguesMeets quality and financial
goals.Shows strong commitment to continued professional
development.Passed the 16-hour structural engineering exam.
