job summary:
Our client is looking for a Chief-Lead Engineer who can work anywhere in the Michigan area- work from home. Chief-Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the R&D activities. Lead the engine calibrations to meet emission standards at lowest system cost while delivering world-class driveability and conformity to warranty and quality specifications. The Engineer will work with the calibration team and alternative fuel engine and vehicle hardware releasing groups and scientific labs. If this is you, please apply!

salary: $140,000 - 180,000 per year
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree
• Experience in the development and calibration of spark ignition engines, preferential: emissions development, OBDII diagnostics, powertrain systems development, natural gas engines.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines
• Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data
• Ability to install and set up testing equipment on vehicle/engine
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
• Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferential knowledge of ATI, VECTOR, ETAS tools, communication and CAN networks, natural gas engines, Emission testing procedures in both engine dynos and vehicles bench
• Must have FORD vehicle experience #LI-JS1
