Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year A bit about us: We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support project teams in developing electrical system construction documents for healthcare, higher education, and commercial building projects. This role involves designing comprehensive electrical systems while considering project budgets, client goals, and coordination with other disciplines. Additional responsibilities include staying current with industry trends, participating in professional development events, and maintaining connections with local industry professionals. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated electrical designs. Apply and uphold best practices in engineering methods. Oversee and contribute to the production of design documents from concept to detailed design for new construction, renovations, and facility additions. Develop comprehensive project specifications. Identify and implement strategies to enhance cost efficiency. Participate in project coordination meetings with clients and owners. Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits and shop drawing reviews. Mentor and support electrical designers. Assist the director with quality assurance reviews on projects. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 5 years of engineering experience with a strong background in electrical systems. Proven experience in designing electrical systems for healthcare, higher education, or commercial buildings. Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC), energy codes, and other relevant industry standards. Project management experience required. Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam required. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, but not required. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment. Interested in hearing more?
