Details Location: Brasilia Ave., Kansas City, MO Compensation:
$23/hr Shift: PT 9:00- 5:30 Open Avail. Requirements: Willingness
to work in all elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Reliable
transportation is required as this is a more remote location, and
the bus schedule does not align with the ending of the shift.
Working holidays is mandatory - the primary focus of this role will

Position The Traffic Control Officer supports the airport by
directing traffic at the main terminal to help reduce traffic
congestion and direct pedestrians to certain areas. Principal Job
Duties Greets and assists the traveling public with a professional
and cordial demeanor. Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic at
the main terminal of the airport to ensure the curbside is free of
unattended vehicles. Acts as liaison between the airport, traveling
public, tenants, vendors, and ground transportation companies to
ensure compliance with local rules and regulations. Assists the
public with general inquiries, most importantly parking and ground
transportation options. Work independently and with team members,
reporting to a field supervisor. Resolve customer complaints in
accordance with policies and procedures. Respond to incidents and
critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner. Rely on
instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the
functions of the job. Ensures the terminal, curbside, and parking
areas are aesthetically presentable through monitoring of parking
lots, set up and/or remove signs as necessary, sweeping, and
removal of trash and debris. Skills Ability to mitigate and lead
others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
Ability to work independently and multi-task. Ability to interpret
policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Willing to
work early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays. Establishes and
maintains effective working relationships with employees, tenants,
other governmental agencies and departments, community, airport
users, and the traveling public. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and
timeliness. Must be open to feedback, differing opinions, and other
points of view. Interpersonal skills are necessary to be courteous
of passengers while directing traffic and performing other duties.
Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged
situations. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English
language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay
firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Physical Demands
Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds. Ability to
stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. Ability to bend,
stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift. The physical
