Job Description:
Maintenance Staff/Handyperson We're looking for an energetic
Maintenance Technician/Handyperson to join our team! Maintenance
Tech Kansas City, MO (Area)| Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Rotating
On-Call W/E within Team) The Center for Developmentally Disabled
(CDD), a nonprofit serving the Kansas City Metro for 50 years, is
seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 to support our facilities, grounds,
and vehicles. This role ensures safe, clean, and fully functional
environments for our staff and the individuals we serve. We are
seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Handyman /
Maintenance Technician to partner with our company. This is role is
for our 30 single-family homes/duplexes and a couple of office
buildings in the Kansas City MO area. As our trusted maintenance
partner, you will oversee and carry out property maintenance and
repairs to ensure all properties remain in excellent condition.
Projects will vary from small repairs to larger maintenance needs.
Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis, with competitive pay
at $25/hr. What You'll Do - Inspect, repair, and maintain
electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems. -
Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.
- Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance. - Track
supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices. - Respond to
emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls. What We're
Looking For - High school diploma/GED required. - At least 1 year
of facilities maintenance experience (2 years or technical training
preferred). - Strong troubleshooting, communication, and
organizational skills. - Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and
work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions. - Valid driver's
