Job Description:
*Position Overview*
To assist the Corporate Marketing & Business Development team in
delivering excellent results for the firm. To provide high quality
support adhering to best practice and leading to improved
performance of the firm.
Practice groups supported include M&A and Corporate Finance,
Investment Management, Technology and Commercial, Tax, Private
Clients in the UK and the industry sectors in which the groups
might operate. This role will involve working closely with all
other marketing, BD team and Business Services teams as well as
with Partners and Associates where relevant.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage the internal and external events process for the Corporate
department. This includes invitation preparation and distribution,
mailing list and RSVP management, venue and logistics organization,
on-site working with other
* specialists in the teams as appropriate.
* Manage the matter collection process for Corporate department,
including experience database management.
* Proactively identify and monitor progress of potential matters
for internal or external promotion eg PR opportunities, credential
collation, website updates.
* Preparing articles and posting on digital media such as LinkedIn,
website, etc.
* Regularly check relevant pages of the website. Proactively
suggest updates to keep content up to date.
* Liaise with the design team on creating/amending designed
materials, including use of tools such as Vuture.
* Manage client database/mailing lists using designated firm CRM
tool, including segmented lists for the Corporate group, and use to
distribute client mailings and blogs.
* Own systems and processes eg content within pitch tool
* Track and implement post transaction and post pitch reviews.
* Responsible for ensuring Corporate department CVs, pitch
tracking, experience lists and other credentials are up to date and
consistent. Work with partners and fee earners to tailor
opportunity-specific CVs and credentials when necessary.
* Draft basic outline of pitches, capability brochures, legal
directory and awards submissions, according to requirements and
adhering to firm templates and corporate house style guidelines.
Assist with follow-up with fee-earners in relation to these
documents.
* In conjunction with firm resources in the Library and others,
able to conduct relevant research on prospective and existing
clients, and industry trends/opportunities.
* InterAction (or other similar system) opportunity tool
maintenance, including loading of docs / wins / losses etc.
* Arrange meetings/calls, scheduling, booking rooms, tracking
diaries for the immediate team.
* Attend selected meetings and take detailed minutes.
* Support the team on ad hoc projects, initiatives and tasks that
arise from the Corporate and Marketing & BD teams.
*Essential Job Specifications/Qualifications*
* Marketing experience
* Interest in the professional services sector in an international
setting and a demonstrable ability to get under the skin of a
market/sector
* Corporate legal interest / experience an advantage but not
essential
* You will need to demonstrate an even-mix of strong initiative,
creative flair and technical competence
* You will work in a fun but highly professional team, often facing
tight deadlines
* Great organizational skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Articulate communicator
* Willingness to learn new things and progress
* You will be proactive, demonstrate determination and enthusiasm
and are able to stay calm under pressure, multitask and to be
robust
*Travel*
This position has little to no travel.
*Education/Experience/Certifications*
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Degrees or professional qualifications that have a marketing
component would put you in a strong position, but are not
essential
* Experience/placements within the legal/professional services
sector and a partnership environment would be beneficial but not
essential
