Summary About the Position: This position serves as Medical
Support Assistant for the Family Advocacy Program at Munson Army
Health Center and provides a variety of administrative, medical
support, and clerical tasks related to sensitive and high-risk
issues with patient care and treatment within the Family Advocacy
Program. Responsibilities Provides assistance in the management,
evaluation, and reporting of child and intimate partner abuse cases
Performs administrative and clerical tasks in support of the
Incident Determination Committee and its Chairperson including:
scheduling, preparing agenda, gathering and preparing
documentation, preparing correspondence Uses a variety of software
programs to create files, retrieve reports, gather data, create
correspondence Maintain medical records including ensuring accuracy
and completeness Provide customer service for the Family Advocacy

year of specialized experience which includes: providing assistance
with receiving alleged incidents or reports of abuse; maintaining
files and records to ensure appropriate status and data; and
receiving telephone calls and visitors . This definition of
specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next
lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some
federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the
required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must
meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no
substitution of education for experience is permitted. This
position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per
minute based on a 5 minute based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or
less errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of
competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service
(Clerical/Technical)Health Records ManagementReading Comprehension
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General
Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks
of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Education Additional Information Male applicants born after
December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification
Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required
to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary
period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of

position is scheduled to transfer to the Defense Health Agency
(DHA) at a date to be determined in accordance with the provisions
of Section 702 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal
Year 2017, Public Law 114-328. The Act directed the DHA to take
responsibility for the administration (i.e., authority, direction,
and control) of military treatment facilities beginning 1 Oct 18.
Employees will become DoD employees upon transfer to the DHA.
