manager of our Commercial Project Management Office, you will
directly oversee a team of project managers and a portfolio of
projects for our Commercial line of business. - -Business line
projects range from new system implementations to leading process
changes and optimization across multiple business lines and
departments. - - - This position is responsible for managing the
assignments of our project portfolio, ensuring objectives and
timelines of approved projects are met and issues are escalated as
necessary. - The candidate will work with senior and executive
management to facilitate the prioritization of projects and provide
management reporting on the project portfolio. - You will need the
ability to motivate, coach and developing the talents of the
project managers on the team. - -This position will also
collaborate with other project management offices, IT and
management to review, develop and implement changes to project
management methodologies leveraged by the team. Essential
Functions
- Facilitates the processes and procedures required to provide
effective project management services to meet project commitments
and deliverables for cross-functional teams.
- Ensures projects are managed to meet defined project scope and
business requirements and in accordance with project management
best practices.
- Oversees progression of project portfolio, addresses project
roadblocks, and ensures essential project documentation and
artifacts are developed and retained.
- Facilitates team meetings, monitors project costs vs budget and
provides status updates as necessary.
- Provides day-to-day oversight of resources, communicates team
member assignments, provides feedback, and builds relationships
(leadership/relationship management). Projects include installation
of enhancements to current systems, new applications and product or
process improvements.
- Leads, mentors, and motivates team members to execute on the
department strategy and manage department workflows with guidance
on departmental projects/issues, and provides coaching and
development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's
individual needs
- Communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant information to
team members effectively
- Supports budget management, planning, and expenditures
- Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Required
- Previous project management experience required with Agile and
Waterfall projects experience preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with and conduct
presentations to stakeholders including senior and executive
management.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply
discretion and sound judgement to solve problems efficiently and
effectively
- Ability to drive results and balance management of
organizational risk and meeting goals of the business
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members
and foster a positive team environment that gives way to
collaboration and unified goals
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the
ability to drive project activities and effectively manage
competing priorities
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with
the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the
company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in
writing
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations
with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is

- Knowledge of vendor selection and contract negotiations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to understand
technical aspects to guide and assist project team
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel,
Teams and Outlook - Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
combination of education and experience required
- 3-5 years of Management or Supervisory experience
