The following are the duties of this position at the full working
level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are
selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to
learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow
in this position.
-Performs a variety of administrative tasks using an automated
system which involves: assigning, maintaining, monitoring, or
updating work status and inventory records; ordering research;
acknowledging correspondence; maintaining, updating and initiating
personnel records; timekeeping; and performing other support
activity.
-Identifies and reviews Forms W-2 attached to Forms 1040EZ and
1040PC for conditions meeting Criminal Investigation criteria and
code the returns appropriately.
-Prepares and maintains regular production/inventory
reports/attendance records using established formats and sources of
data applicable to the program, functional, or organizational
reporting requirements.
-Reviews documents for specific requirements necessary for
processing.
-Periodically reviews filed material in the light of ongoing
programs or special projects and determines if such material should
be consolidated, have new classifications, be retired, etc.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been
gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service.
One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is
considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work
experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and
indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of
this announcement.
Basic Requirement: GS-04 Level: To qualify at this grade level you
must have: One (1) year or twelve (12 months) of general
experience. General experience must demonstrate progressively
responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability
to acquire the particular competencies needed to perform the duties
of the position to be filled. This may be paid or non-paid
experience.
OR
Two (2) years of education above the high school level (education
may have been obtained in an accredited junior college, college,
university, business, secretarial or technical school).Note: One
full year of academic study is defined as 30 semester hours/45
quarter hours in an accredited junior college, college or
university or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week
for approximately 36 weeks in an accredited business, secretarial
or technical school equaling 720 hours.
OR
An equivalent amount of combined education and experience. The
equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school
education and experience may be used to meet total
requirements.
Basic Requirement: GS-05 Level: You must have one year of
specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility
equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Progressively
responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability
to acquire the particular competencies needed to perform the duties
of the position to be filled. This may be paid or non-paid
experience. Examples of qualifying experience may include
conducting basic research and applying information as necessary,
interacting and communicating (orally and in writing) with
customers, performing office duties.
OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:
A Bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school in
any field of study from an accredited college or university.
OR
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school
education and experience may be used to meet total experience
requirements.

Education

qualifying for this position by substituting education or training

A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited

universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show
proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least
