Position Type: Full Time

Reports to: Controller

Location: Kansas City, MO, Crossroads

Summary/Objective

Assist the accounting department with various tasks, primarily routine accounting functions, administrative functions, project tracking and management, following up on correspondence, developing and disbursing various financial reports and dashboards.

Essential Functions

Work with Controller, CFO, and Accounting Manager as needed for administrative assistance and projects while reporting to Controller.

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations related to general ledger accounts and Banking as a Service (BaaS) programs and prepare related entries.

Prepare payroll, insurance and other third party source entries.

Perform daily cash settlement duties.

Backup certain duties in the accounting department, such as but not limited to accounts payable, fixed assets maintenance, prepaid maintenance, accruals, general ledger entry processing and general ledger system maintenance.

Determine appropriate data conflict reporting and solve various data conflicts as they arise

Track and manage miscellaneous projects as assigned by Accounting Leaders.

Work with various departments to promote process improvements and efficiencies through data use cases and automatization.

Assist in development of reporting and dashboards for daily operational use and management reporting

Develop reporting that supports analytical needs for various departments

Serve as department champion for system application programs used, such a Microsoft Office, Wrike, Intelligence Workplace/Prologue, Excel, PowerBI, SQL, or other system applications.

Perform all other duties as assigned

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Ability to use Microsoft Office products and strong understanding of Outlook and calendar functions

- Knowledge of database programs, such as SQL and cloud solutions such as Snowflake and AWS

- Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as PowerBI

Required Education and Experience:

- 3-5 years of accounting experience

Preferred Education and Experience

- Experience working in a deadline oriented, fast paced environment strongly preferred
