If so, this is your golden opportunity!Former military members and law enforcement professionals are encouraged to apply!As a Fraud Investigator you will specialize in preventing, identifying, and investigating fraudulent transactions for a telecommunications company. As a fraud-focused customer service representative, you will be tasked with identifying and mitigating fraud while providing communication with customers over the phone via inbound calls. You will be evaluating, processing, and documenting identity theft and customer validation claims. This role is performed in a collaborative team setting in a call center style environment.Backgrounds that would transition well into this role: Fraud, Financial Crime, Collections, Loan Processing, Tax Analysis, Risk Management, Legal/Courts, Claims (Investigator/Adjuster/Analyst/Examiner), Banking (Audit, Analyst/Investigative Role/AML), Customer Service, Insurance, Law Enforcement, Skip TracingDuties & Responsibilities:Leverage appropriate resources to support the identification and initiation of fraud or abuse investigations, and ensure relevant information is appropriately collected, analyzed, and documentedRequests additional caller documentation when required for investigationCompletes investigation/documentation and provides communication back to the callerBring resolution to fraudulent claims by employing tools that detect and disrupt fraud schemesEvaluate, process, and document identity theft, customer validation claims, and account takeoversREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and KnowledgeWorking knowledge of cable or telecom operations, fraud investigation, and/or detection and analysis, and laws/regulations related to fraud and general risk managementCritical Thinking skills, ability to make decisions and communicate them despite negative reactionsDemonstrated customer interface with good negotiating skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)Ability to remain empathetic while communicating risk decisions, ability to de-escalate calls when communicating difficult messagesSchedule:Training: 2 weeks 11 am - 8 pm (M-F)Current Work Hours:(Tues - Sat 1 pm to 10 pm) OR (Sun - Thurs 1 pm to 10 pm) OR (4-10 hour shifts)Saturday and Sunday hours are 12pm-9pm*Education:High school diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is a plus*Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceVision insuranceAbility to commute/relocate:Kansas City, MO 64133: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Please describe any other relevant experience you have that would contribute to your success in this role.Are you willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law and regulation?Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:handling fraud: 1 year (Preferred)identity theft/skip tracing: 1 year (Preferred)claims investigation: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
