The HRCC team is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing practice.-- Monthly General Ledger Duties:

  • Prepare accounts receivable accrual entries using Great Plains as well as the related contractor expense accruals and deferred revenue accruals.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the management of projects in the revenue system and make efficiency adjustments.
  • Prepare reports depicting deferred revenue, health insurance allocations, and month-end accruals.
  • Perform General Ledger account reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparing month-end financial statements and any additional schedules necessary for financial statements.
  • Make corrections on invoices and in the system to projects and also teach billing analysts and senior analysts to make these corrections.
  • Utilize current GAAP knowledge or researched findings to ensure accurate financial statement presentation.
  • Review the work of senior billing analysts and billing analysts to ensure accuracy.
  • Be able to discuss projects and billing detail with consultants.
  • Assist in directing billing analysts/senior analysts to complete their work as well as assist in their training. Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent job experience.
    • Knowledge of Insurance Accounting including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, carrier payables, producer and broker commission expense.
    • Minimum 8 years supervisory experience preferred.--
    • Minimum 10 years experience in insurance brokerage operational or accounting roles preferred.--
    • People leadership experience, including management of an offshore team.--
    • Knowledge of brokerage billing activities and dependencies.--
    • Agency management system (EPIC) experience preferred.--
    • Project Management experience preferred.--
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Desired:
      • Ability to motivate, influence and lead others, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
      • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize issues, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated customer service focus.
      • Ability to lead change management efforts across the organization.--
      • Strong teamwork orientation; willingness to help larger team meet goals and responsibilities.--
      • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
      • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment and the ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data. U.S. Eligibility Requirements:
