Learn more at ********************** Mission: Design, build and sell the world's best vehicles. This position is at the General Motors Fairfax Assembly & Stamping Plant located in Kansas City, KS. Fairfax Assembly proudly assembles the Chevrolet Malibu and Cadillac XT4. The General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant has been producing World Class Quality vehicles in the Kansas City area since 1945. Fairfax Assembly was the first industrial facility to operate as a dual purpose manufacturer producing both automobiles and jet fighters in the same building. The present facility, constructed in 1985, has received numerous awards, including North American Car of the Year for the Chevrolet Malibu, as well as earning a top safety rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and J.D. Power recognition in multiple categories. In addition to the industry awards, the plant has received several capital investments, helping to make it the largest employer in the Kansas City Metro area. The plant workforce is represented by UAW Local 31. Responsibilities will include: Conduct regular informational stakeholder meetings, attend stakeholders staff meetings, conduct Global Facilities site-specific team meetings, and Business Plan Deployment reviews. Drives strategic, analytical, and tactical planning and decisions. Interface with Owner/Landlord/Property Manager (if leased site) and be knowledgeable of lease terms and coordinate lease operations with the building stakeholder, property manager, and Global Business Services Real Estate (if applicable) to ensure all required facilities services and tasks are performed to minimize GM risk. Interface and coordinate with supporting GM business units on all issues affecting stakeholders and sites for which FMR is responsible, including but not limited to: Environmental, Health and Safety, Security, Real Estate, Food and Administration Services, Purchasing, Contract Administration, Facility Projects, Facility Engineering, IT, Finance, Communications, and Resource Management. Supports and drives successful planning and execution of the Project Planning Process and the Project Management Process. Supports and drives successful planning and execution of all asset sustainment and disposal activities within portfolio for all unformat categories. Supports Emergency Response Plan and evacuation/take shelter planning coordination with Security, Fire Prevention, Safety, and key stakeholders. (Emergency Response Coordinating Team and Emergency Group Coordinators) Support Disaster Recovery Planning, Business resumption and continuity process including broad-based emergency preparedness. Support the change management process for group moves including but not limited to: move process checklist, stakeholder orientation, and occupancy surveys. Interface and coordinate with local businesses and regulatory agencies as required. Supports and drives the master strategic space planning within portfolio to ensure compliance with Master Planning and all applicable Permits, Licenses, and Codes. Respond to and communicate business related disruptions (planned or unplanned) utilizing the escalation process. Acts as building owner for all GM managed facilities within portfolio. (Lead for all FM matters) Perform specific tasks assigned by Global Facilities leadership. Responsible for the efficient and timely execution of all facility services (Bill of Service, Bill of Material, Statement of Work) to stakeholders within the portfolio including but not limited to: housekeeping, grounds, all maintenance services, and stakeholder requests. Supports and drives successful planning and execution of the Global Safety and IH Management System (GF related) including but not limited to: speak up for safety, call to action, safety observation tours, employee safety concerns, incident investigation, safety module compliance, and sentinel events. Supports and drives successful planning and execution of all Global Facilities-Global Manufacturing System principles and elements within their portfolio. Support and analyze operating and project budgets to meet cost objectives. Optimize building and facility services guided by industry benchmark standards including but not limited to: space utilization (move service center, furniture/ergonomics), energy efficiency, Service Agreement deliverables, and On-Demand activities. Coordinate and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Support and promote environmental activities/initiatives such as Project GREEN, Wildlife Habitat Council, EnergyStar, LEED, and landfill free. Execute and analyze stakeholder surveys and layered audits and implement corrective action if applicable. Contract Management - ensure contract compliance and performance evaluation while driving continuous improvements and sharing lessons learned. Supports and drives successful planning and execution of GM and Global Facilities specific tools and programs including but not limited to: Facilities Handbook and FM scorecard. Support and assist in the successful execution of GM sponsored programs including but not limited to: suggestion programs, recognition, special events, tours, and community outreach. Support and adhere to the GM Process Risk Management (PRM) process and assist in resolution of all non-compliance issues. Adhere and comply to all internal control policies applicable to Global Facilities including but not limited to: training, access control, Service Agreement provider, onboarding and off boarding, and Signature Authorization Database.
